Wandering The Windy City

Chicago has been on my list of places to travel since before I started styling. This trip was a bit pleasure and bit work which is always the perfect combo, right? In between meetings I was able to explore the city which is so rich in history and culture. The food scene is quite vast and nothing short of amazing, from Italian to French to Mexican and surprisingly even sushi!

Lounging At Louisiana Purchase

Louisiana Purchase is the newest edition to both Grind and Prosper Hospitality and the North Park food scene. I love when restaurants opt for a location that is off the beaten path. There was so much buzz around the opening of this establishment that I couldn’t wait to try it! First up was the flavorful blend of land and sea, crab stuffed chicken skin.

A Modern Canadian Tuxedo

The Canadian Tuxedo (denim on denim), regardless of it’s name, has become a part of American fashion. We have seen celebrities do it right and oh so wrong, remember MTV Music Award JT & Britney. If you’re going to create the look with the same color be sure to infuse some flair. I went with a tuxedo style jean and shirt with a splatter on the end of it.

InsideOUT Spring Menu Tasting

Spring is officially here and the flowers aren’t the only things changing around town. Monday night I was invited to the intimate tasting of the new Spring menu for InsideOUT. First up was the the heirloom tomato & burrata which at first glance I thought would be sweet and refreshing. It was for sure that however, there was a surprise element of spice which really upped the ante.

Bold Kicks For Spring

Spring has sprung and it’s time to get switch up the footwear. Put away those awesome dark leather boots and build a bold brightly colored palette. The easier way to wear a bold sneaker is to keep it one color. It’s important to remember that you have to wear the trend not let it wear you. Above are a few of my colors in the latest trainers and dad sneakers. Enjoy!!!

Oscars Viewing Party Prep

The weekend of the “Superbowl of Fashion” is always a very crazy one. This year was my second one working with the Buick PR team for Oscars and it was nothing short of epic as usual. I was given the opportunity to drive around in a beautiful white 2019 Buick Encore with a gorgeous light brown interior. It drove like a dream and made getting around to all my party prep appointments a breeze.

Gift Of Music

Every year I do a V-Day gift guide either for TV or my blog, which normally consist of cool electronics, decadent chocolates, and other love centric items. However, this year I decided to focus on what I feel is the perfect give from the heart, music. I had a blast shooting at M-Theory a few days ago in the beautiful neighborhood of Mission Hills.

Gust Busting Laughter At Ginger's

I can’t believe January is over this week, I mean time truly does fly the older you get, holy smokes! One of the things I promised myself in 2019 was to really start enjoying more of my city outside of the fashion and food world. A few months ago I was able to attend my first Cocktails & Comedians show at Gingers and from the moment I sat down it was non stop laughter.

Haute Happy Hour

Happy hour, just like real estate, is all about location. It needs to have good vibes, a tasty menu, festive cocktails, and an epic staff. Cloak & Petal has nailed all the requirements with such ease. Dining at C&P feels like you’re in the center of a contemporary museum and I love it. The Louis Vuitton artwork, cherry blossom trees, and the visually stunning tribute to two of the best rappers show a level of unmatched design work in Little Italy.
