LNCHN AT JRDN
As venturing outside my normal bubble continues, my hunger has me back in the beach community. I must say, restaurants attached to hotels don't get enough credit. JRDN, located inside Tower 23, is a hidden gem worth experiencing! The calamari is simply perfection, being lightly fried and paired with broccoli and fresno chilies. One squeeze of lemon and this dish was finished in record time lol. I'm a huge fan of spicy food so after spotting the Lobster Roll it was a no-brainer, as I begin to salivate just writing this. Spicy lobster, yamagobo, tempura fried panko, avocado, spicy aioli, jalapeño rings, and ponzu oh my! The flavors and textures worked wonderfully well together leaving me with an extremely pleased palate. Keeping the lobster theme going next up was the lobster B.L.T and garlic french fries. OOOMMMGGG after one bite I wanted to sprint to the kitchen to give the chef a hug! This was by far my favorite dish of the afternoon and one I'll keep ordering each time I return. Normally I shy away from salads because they just bore me, but this Steak + Blue salad was anything but, having a bold look and taste. This chic salad consisted of grilled romaine wedges, medium rare skirt steak, crispy shallots, blue cheese, shaved radish, and blistered cherry tomatoes. So if you haven't dined JRDN you're missing out on a fabulous location with a menu to match.
