Santa Barbara Escape

So it finally happened after years of talking about it! Santa Barbara has been on my radar for quite a while and not just because of Oprah, but for its secluded beauty. When my good friend Skyler invited me as a plus one to a wedding at the gorgeous Rancho Dos Pueblos, it was the perfect opportunity to explore the city.

Goodbye Paris!

Regardless of future travel, Paris will undoubtedly remain one of my top 5 cities in the world. In packing for my return to US, it was a not a feeling sadness, but rather of "see you soon". It was at that point that I realized instead of leaving a shoe or pair of socks, like in Germany, I was leaving a piece of me

Coat Check

It’s that time of the year again, fall and it’s my favorite! The layering can begin, the incessant hunting for the perfect boots, and the closet swapping of tanks and t’s for sweaters and flannels. London Sights

Doing London in a day was definitely an overwhelming experience. The tube system reminded me of New York as it was very efficient and fairly easy to read the timetables. Once hopping off the train it was 3 hours of being a super tourist with stops to Big Ben, The London Eye, and Buckingham Palace.

Every city has their thing, San Diego being palm trees, New York has skyscrapers, and Barcelona has balconies. They beautifully decorated each apartment and in some cases are shared among neighbors.

Roaming Rome

Italy was intoxicating! 4 days was the perfect amount of time to sample all of what Rome has to offer.  Of the sampling, it was the savory gelato in which I indulged on a nightly basis! Rome is a city that’s rooted in such deep heritage. It’s present in the small details of street signs to the glorious ruins of the Colosseum.

John Varvatos Store Opening

Friday was the sneak preview of the John Varvatos store. The turnout was great and it was fun to see how excited people were about the new opening. When you walk into the store, the store looks modern and masculine with the white shelving and wooden tables and floors. A server with a tray of iced tea greeted me and champagne and he kindly asked if I would care for a beverage.
