Gushing Over Greystone

Greystone has stolen my heart and become the best steakhouse I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. Yes, that is quite a bold statement I know, but the high touch service, menu selection, ambiance, and damn good food allow for me to say so. As a man who enjoys his whiskey I opted for an Old Fashionioned to start the evening off. Out comes this beautiful closed crystal glass with Maker’s 46 smoked inside and glass with the most perfectly cubed ice. As the Maker’s hit the ice you can begin to smell it really open up and the first sip was magnificent. The chef orchestrated the most delectable of plates from appetizers all the way to the main course. While everything was great there were a few dishes that stood out, being the seafood pasta, the mac & cheese and the Japanese Wagyu. I come from a family that does mac&cheese like you wouldn’t believe. So growing up on it for over 30 years I’ve become a little bit of a snob. Oh, let me tell you I’ll be ordering a side of it every time I return to Greystone… if that tells you anything. The Japanese Wagyu I’m still telling people about. The flavors were just out of this world with! It’s a meat that could easily stand on its own, but they upped the ante by drizzling a bacon blue cheese butter over it. I was completely silent while eating this as to focus all my senses on enjoying this premier cut of meat. In a world of finicky eaters, Greystone’s menu has something for them all. I learned that almost everything on the menu is gluten-free, which was a wonderful surprise. Also they have quite an extensive menu for vegetarians.
