Gawking At Gucci SS19

Each season Gucci pushes the limit and crushes it like ice. This season was no different, however I noticed it was a bit riskier for men then seasons past. Leather and crystal jock straps, mid thigh baring denim, and hot pants. In true Alessandro Michele fashion he took the seemingly outlandish and made it feel wearable. The pieces, still impeccably tailored, were so relaxed like slouchy trousers and mildly oversized blazers. For a while we saw minimal jewelry stacked and clustered together, but the tides have changed and it’s back to a bold statement piece. Of all the menswear in the Spring 2019 collection, it was the crystal logo suit and fur (faux of course) trimmed suit that stole my heart! Until next season…
