Trust Your Taste Buds

Happy Monday! Last week I had the pleasure of dining at the amazing Trust restaurant. Before attending a tasting I always like to review the menu a day or two prior. Hands down I'd have to say it's one of the most cultured and perfectly curated menus in the city! For appetizers it was Octopus Fritters, Shrimp + Sausage Andouille, and Wood Grilled Cauliflower. While each dish was beautifully plated and beyond delicious, it was the Shrimp + Sausage Andouille that stole the show. A bite that combined perfectly seasoned shrimp, sausage, garbanzo beans, tomato, wine herb butter, and grilled bread. Just penning this post is causing my mouth to water. The drinks didn't play second fiddle to the bodacious bites, but rather right on par. A Whiskey Sour, very frothy as I like, followed by a Paper Plane (strong & refreshing) to accompany my dinner. I don't eat burgers often, but this particular evening it was calling my name. Not only did I indulge in the burger, but I enjoyed it the Trust Way which included house-cured braised bacon and a sunny side up egg! Just Superb! Impeccable service, delicious meals, and a couple of beautifully created cocktails made my night complete, well almost. I'd heard about Trust's most decadent dessert and had to try it, Profiteroles. Let's just say it took everything in me not to order a dozen to go #nightiscomplete. As someone who's dined all over the world I can say with confidence the following; 1. Trust has set the bar high for all future restaurants in San Diego 2. They are in my favorite top 5 of all time and 3. I look forward to bringing many to enjoy this wonderful dining experience!
